Last July 12, 2025, iBuild.PH proudly joined the July Manila WordPress Meetup at YSPACES, Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig. Organized by the WordPress Philippines Community, a volunteer-driven group under the global WordPress.org initiative, the event gathered developers, designers, bloggers, and tech enthusiasts to exchange insights on building impactful digital solutions with WordPress.

Jerome Esperanza, founder and lead consultant of iBuild.PH, headlined the meetup with his session, “Building WordPress Websites for the PH Government: Gotchas, Aha Moments, Lessons, Best Practices, Implementations, and Strategies.” He shared real-world experiences in website designing and maintaining Philippine government websites, discussing topics such as challenges, lessons learned, and best practices when working with GOV.PH websites using WordPress, accessibility standards, government mandates and requirements on web design and security, and collaboration with non-technical teams.

He also focused on the topics of WordPress security for GOV sites, website and content migration, specifically exporting and importing content from old to new platforms, ensuring a seamless, content/data loss-free website migration and design revamping, avoiding broken links and bookmarks are avoided.

Highlights and Key Talks

The meetup carried the theme “Building with WordPress: From Ideas to Impact.” Alongside Jerome, Jude Pudlao delivered a session on “Design Thinking in UX: Solving Real User Problems with WordPress,” offering practical approaches to user-centric design. Presentations and discussions were conducted in a mix of English and Tagalog to accommodate both local and international attendees.

The event was made possible through the support of YSPACES (official venue partner) and LevelUp Offshore Hiring (sponsor of snacks and refreshments). Participants engaged in discussions, shared success stories, and explored the evolving trends of the WordPress ecosystem.
